Plug-ins are used in blogging software to add functions and integration with other sites.To activate or deactivate a plugin, visit the Plugins page located under the POSTS area inside your blog administrative site.
Pellissippi Blogs tries to keep the list of plug-ins update to date and all plug-ins current. Administrators reserve the right to remove any plug-in that causes security concerns or other technical issues with the rest of the site.Here is a list of what is available to our Pellissippi State bloggers:
Site-Wide (for all blogs)
Anarchy Media Player – makes it easier to add video from various video sharing sites and plays MP3 files and other media just by linking them.
More Privacy Options: enables more levels of privacy options for blog owners
Delicious widget – allows blog owners to add a widget for sharing the RSS feed from a Delicious account
Typepad AntiSpam – to help prevent spam comments
Blog-Level (can be turned on and off by blog owner/administrators)

All-In-One Video Pack (and Widget) – from Kaltura for interactive video creation. This is not just another video embed tool – it includes every functionality you might need for video and rich-media, including playing, uploading and editing.
Authors Widget - shows the list of the authors, with the number of posts, link to RSS feed next to their name. It is useful in a multi-author blog, where you want to have the list in the sidemenu.
Blubrry PowerPress – adds podcasting support to your blog. Features include: media player, 3rd party statistics, iTunes integration, Blubrry Services (Media Statistics and Hosting) integration and a lot more.

Creative Commons Configurator – adds a Creative Commons license to your blog pages and feeds
Events Calendar – Add a a list for upcoming events or a calendar.
FeedWordPress – simple and flexible Atom/RSS syndication for WordPress
*FireStats – basic statistics for your site (for some reason, there are two listed – choose the highest version one)
Flexipages - A highly configurable WordPress sidebar widget to list pages and sub-pages. User friendly widget control comes with various options.
flickrRSS - Allows you to integrate the photos from a flickr rss feed into your site.
My Comments - Tracks comments in usermeta->LatestComments. Comments–>My Comments page.
NextGEN Gallery – A NextGENeration Photo gallery for the Web 2.0.
OpenBook Book Data – Displays the book cover image, title, author, and publisher from http://openlibrary.org
Photo Dropper – Lets you add Creative commons licensed Photos to Your Posts from Flickr. By activating this plugin you agree to be fully responsible for adhering to Creative Commons licenses for all photos you post to your blog.
Plugins used – Provides a widget showing all of the plug-ins your blog is using.
*Sidebar Login – Adds a sidebar widget to let users login
Similar Posts – Displays a list of related posts. Similarity can be based on any combination of word usage in the content, title, or tags. Don’t be disturbed if it takes a few moments to complete the installation — the plugin is indexing your posts
*Simple Trackback Validation – Eliminates spam trackbacks by (1) checking if the IP address of the trackback sender is equal to the IP address of the webserver the trackback URL is referring to and (2) by retrieving the web page located at the URL used in the trackback and checking if the page contains a link to your blog.
Subscribe2 – Notifies an email list when new entries are posted.
*TanTanNoodles Simple Spam Filter – A plugin that does a simple sanity check to stop really obvious comment spam before it is processed.
Tweetable – You can tweet your blog posts as they are published, shortening the URLs with either Tr.im or Is.gd and optionally including Google Analytics campaign tags. You can display your latest tweet(s) in your blog sidebar with a customizable widget, which can even display your follower count.
