Plug-ins are used in blogging software to add functions and integration with other sites.To activate or deactivate a plugin, visit the Plugins menu located on the sidebar inside your blog administrative site.Pellissippi Blogs tries to keep the list of plug-ins update to date and all plug-ins current. Administrators reserve the right to remove any plug-in that causes security concerns or other technical issues with the rest of the site.

Add Link Widget – from the University of British Columbia. This plug in allows the blog owner to add a widget to their home page to “gather” links from others that will add to the blog roll. A nice and easy way to build a list of links from a group or class.
Authors Widget – shows the list of the authors, with the number of posts, link to RSS feed next to their name. It is useful in a multi-author blog, where you want to have the list in the sidemenu.
Avatars – A plugin to manage public and private avatars.
Blubrry PowerPress – adds podcasting support to your blog. Features include: media player, 3rd party statistics, iTunes integration, Blubrry Services (Media Statistics and Hosting) integration and a lot more.
Conditional Widgets – Grants users advanced control over which pages and categories for widget display
Creative Commons Configurator – adds a Creative Commons license to your blog pages and feeds
*EmbedRSS – adds an RSS icon to the editor that allows a user to embed an RSS feed into a post or page
IMPORTANT NOTE: For common media sites like YouTube, Blip.tv, Vimeo, Flicker, Photobucket and others, you can simply enter the URL (web page address) for the location of the video and WordPress will correctly embed it. Lightbox Plus – Permits users to view larger versions of images without having to leave the current page, and is also able to display simple slide shows. The use of the dark or light background, which dims the page over which the image has been overlaid, also serves to highlight the image being viewed.
