Ok so this is the final blog for this semester, and I will admit i’ve not been the best with posting these blogs… can’t help but to forget about them when I’ve got other crap going on lol. n e ways I pretty much want to touch base with everything i’ve learned this semester and what i feel about the class and the projects we have done. so… lets get started.
What have I learned?
What HAVE I learned? lol there has been a lot of stuff I have learned in this class. Binary is one of those things. I never understood how computers understood how we type and enter crap in. But when it comes down to it its all about binary… I even made my friends on facebook freak out posting a post all in binary… took like all of the posting and 6 other comments to get it all in there, and it was a somewhat small post lol. Other than that the section where we focused on robots and the lego project was kind of kewl. Well… the robot section was kewl, the legos was kinda weird. Being a kid and playing with legos, sure. Being and adult and playing with legos kinda say “creepy stalker kid-napper” lol. ok not literally that but I’m sure you understand what i mean.
What was my most-favorite and least-favorite projects this semester?
The HTML project was, by far, my favorite project we have completed. To actually make a page how I wanted it to look, with what I wanted written down, and what video’s I wanted to show (which once again Dr. Brown I do apologise for putting that video up, but you have to admit it was funny and I made my point with it lol). I would like to add one more time, just for emphasis that NO the video was no targetted at one specific person. It was not a hint that I found something you said offencive. The video was just a general one. I thought it was funny, so did the lucky few who did see it before I got an email from Dr. Brown asking me to remove it because of certain word(s) being said in it. *sighs* i got a huge laugh at that too… good times…
My least favorite I would have to say, sorry Dr. Brown, was the Greenfoot project. I apologise because i know how much you love that program but I found it rather blah… I don’t know. There was something about it that I just didn’t like.
Other thoughts I wish to say about the course/Instructor.
Hmm…. I did have things I wanted to say but now that I am typing them I don’t know if i can really remember what they were. I will say that at the beginning of the semester I thought I was gonna be in one of the most boring classes so far. Aside from the days where i did fall asleep in class (i swear i was not feeling good those days though) I will say I was completely wrong. Dr. Brown did keep the class interesting and fun. He wouldn’t just ramble on and on about stuff. He would either make a reference that people would be able to follow and understand or he would make a joke, 90% of the time it was a completely random one, but eh… details. lol. It was an awesome class that I am glad I didn’t drop when I thought it was boring (I’ll admit… i was gonna drop it lol). Dr. Brown, thank you for everything that you have taught me this semester and I hope one day your Human Warlock will reach lvl 80 (or w/e lvl comes out in future expansions).
