From my experience, Virtual Reality is really fun to learn and spend time on. I have been play a game for Xbox 360 called Oblivion. This game is not an online playing game but, they (Bethesda) has mad a very big virtual world. Then have an add on (The Shivering Illes -I believe that’s how it’s spelled) that’s 3/4 the size of the game. Just messing around with Alice shows me how hard it is and can be to make these virtual words. Alice is a program you can choose to use to make this weeks project. Virtual reality is something I loved learning about and this week was the week that grabbed my attention the most. I cant really see any negatives of virtual reality other than the time and dedication.

This weeks topic of Artificail Intelligence was very interesting. This had me thinking about the future and different things of that nature. I can imagine things growing each year. Just by watching the videos in class and posted on the site about robots and different things really have you thinking. If we have all that now what will be coming can be good or bad. This week was a simple week but very interesting.

This week was about Robotics and how to program robots. These week I had many things going so I couldn’t make it to the lab. However, I heard this was a week not to miss because of the robots Dr. Brown brought to class. I did follow up on the notes and comic book and learn what I could about robots. Robots have so much to them and so many of them and it was very interesting to learn and read about. Also I watched the many videos Dr. Brown had posted on the site. Well this was a great week on what I had read and learned.

So this week was actually a lot of fun. I loved the information on hacking and Dr. Brown even gave me a site called hackthissite.org to mess around with. I have not went to the site yet but I do plan on it in the future. Learning all the different kinds of virus such as worms, and Trojans and there are many more. With all the different virus it opens your eyes to have your computer up to date. Why, do people create them just to mess around with whoever and it’s there hobby. So many people have to deal with this mess everyday. Now hacking I think is fun and can help you in your security work however I would never use it in a bad way. Anyways, this class  just grows better and better every week. Well that is just a small amount about security and hacking.

This week we finished up are Scratch project that we had to work on over the last few weeks. Scratch was a very unique program to make small games or videos. Learning about Scratch and how it works was new, but very fun to work with. Also in this week we learned Security and Hacking. This was very interesting to me how this works and the history. The history of Hacking was different because it’s hard to believe that it started just from phones. However, this week was fun and I learned a lot. This class is all coming together week after week.

Finally putting our web sites on the server this week. It was very unique how this all came together.  Writing in HTML was something new but also something I wanted to to learn. I did have some issues with getting my pictures to upload but each day i work more and more with HTML and this is all coming together. It was very fun though. Databases was also something new however, interesting to learn and put to use. I’m looking forward to the weeks to come in CSIT1110.

This is my first time using HTML. My school never even offered such a class. This interest me because this could take you along way because the web is so largely used today. I can tell this can help me in the future even if it’s just for fun or for myself. At first it was tricky but now I am getting the hang of it and uploading it to the web. This is something i would love to mess around with in free time or foe a project. Week six and seven have really made this class fun.

So this week we learned and worked on HTML. Facebook, Myspace and your everyday web pages are actually these tags! I found that very interesting knowing that is just a bunch of tags. I didn’t know anything about HTML before this class.  The site that we have to create is coming along great just still get lost at times. Other than that this week has been a pretty smooth and learned alot. I’m glad this class is going well because it’s taught me alot.

I learned alot about the history of software and how it  works this week. I know alot more about software than before this week. The Assembly Language Simulator was little more complicated to understand. With some work with this program the understanding of how it works became better to see. Over all after this week I have a better understanding of software and its history.
