I have found that using binary numbers is quite hard for me. It is very hard on my eyes counting all the ones and zeros, but especially the ones. A lot of the numbers seemed to run together to me and it was very hard for me to read. I would lose count of where I was in the number, and I think I entered the numbers wrong the quiz we took for class. The hardest part for me was keeping up with where I was in the binary code for the number.
I did enjoy learning about what is involved with graphics and audio. I thought it was cool to hearn how 1080i and 1080p hd worked and what makes them different. I remember Mr. Brown saying something about 1080i being better for motion, and I would like to learn more about it. I also liked learning about different ways audio is transferred through sampling and MIDI. I also did not realize audio could be encoded in numbers.
I liked learning about how all sorts of things could be encoded as numbers, including audio, video, graphics, software, and letters. I like the base-10 system more than the base-2, binary, system, because it was easier on my eyes. Overall I enjoyed learning about the binary number system. It takes getting used to, but I understand it.
