Waiting on Wrestling…

Like most Thursday nights, I was in Lousiville, Tennessee photographing my series Bell Time. Arriving earlier than most visits, I took time to walk around inside as well as outside the building. Green Acres Flea Market is eye candy for a photographer!

Rogersville, Tennessee

In my travels, I often traverse through this small town. More often then not, something interests me to the point that I must photograph it. On this visit, I explored a building in the middle of being demolished, changing from one state to another, real and unreal. I could not help but think of this building’s history and the people involved. The Surrealists would have relished in the inside of the building now part of the outside world.

Tennessee Mountain Wrestling

One of the longest running wrestling groups in Knoxville is Tennessee Mountain Wrestling. As the season permits, this venue is held outdoors which makes for some interesting ambiance. As the participants battle over good and evil tableaus, the late evening sunsets adds a layer of information. This evening’s main event was a Casket Match where one wrestler had to place  his opponent in a casket and close the lid in order to win. My series Bell Time continues to entice my camera…
