Blog #8 — vPod, Speed Dating, & Voice-Out Results!
Pellissippi Students,
Based on the blog title, I am sure you can tell that February is going to be a VERY busy month! We have multiple events coming up, all of which are important and fun. Check out the info below:
February 3rd: vPod — Volunteer: People on Demand is an opportunity for you to network and meeting many East TN agencies. You will be able to volunteer with any of them — so make some good choices! Also, this is a chance to win a free iPod Touch! All of this while eating free food — what more could you possibly want??
February 12th: Speed Dating is a fun and exciting event that allows students to connect. Whether you are looking for that special someone or just a new friend, this event will be fun and laid back. We will have a live performance by one of your fellow Pellissippi Students, Clint Farley, and we will be providing awesome Valentine’s Day treats. Come on down and have a blast!
February 16th/17th: Voice-Out Results is a 2-day event that follows the original Voice-Out event held in Fall 09. This is how it works: Fall semester Voice-Out allows students to express their opinions, both positive and negative, as well as ask questions. When Spring semester rolls around, those opinions and questions are addressed in the Voice-Out Results event! That is where we are now — RESULTS TIME! Even if you did not come to Pellissippi until this semester, this event is informative and beneficial for all students. Come join the Student Activity Board and get the answers you deserve!
There ya go guys! That was a quick peek into the future. Hope to see you at all of the events!
*Remember* This blog is called Voice-Out Blog because I want to hear your opinions, questions, comments, etc. Make sure you use it!
Your Student President,
Olivia Daniel
