As usual, during the break, we like to update everything on our little corner of the blogosphere. This week was no different.
Security fixes were the order of the day so you will not see any changes in your blog look/feel but we are now running WP 3.3.2 and all our themes and plugins are up-to-date.
A new security update was released by WordPress so this site is now completely up to date with all themes, plugins and WordPress at the latest release!
This site was upgraded to the latest version of WordPress (version 3.3) over the week of Finals. The main changes are:
- A slightly redesigned sidebar
- A new admin bar along the top of the page
- new drag-and-drop uploader
- and, hover menus for the navigation
Also, the dashboard is improved if accessing from an iPad as well as some changes with the responsive web design of the entire site.
Here are few videos that show some of the changes:

This site will be down at September 16, 2011 starting at 3 pm and lasting approximately 2 hours.
Thank you for your understanding.

We are all fresh and shiny running updated plugins and WordPress 3.1.2
Please let us know if you encounter any problems.
There are several updates out for WordPress, the software we use to run this site, and some of the plugins we use.
We are planning on installing all of this on May 10, 2011. We will certainly make backups of the site but we also STRONGLY encourage our Pellissippi Bloggers to make your own export back up of your blog so you will have your entries stored on your own computer.
Here is how to do it.
Always good practice to have a backup. 🙂
Pellissippi State students can help Japan in its recovery efforts through Students Rebuild, which has partnered with DoSomething.org. For every paper crane folded and sent in $2 will be donated to Arhictecture for Humanity’s reconstruction efforts in Sendai.
There will be someone available to help fold cranes next week at these times in the Goins Rotunda:
