Also, RecycleMania is almost over, and photos have been posted to the Sustainable Campus Initiatives page. Since January 17th, 2010, Pellissippi State Community College has recycled 8,898.5 lbs. of cardboard, mixed paper, aluminum, steel, plastic, and glass. The competition’s $500 winner will be announced next week! Yeah!

Alpha Theta Xi Chapter Officers met today to discuss communications among our members, and came to a conclusion: this new blog is pretty awesome. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this new site, especially Phi Theta Kappa members. Take a look at our “Projects” section, but keep in mind this is brand new and therefore a work in progress! So keep coming back for updates! We will have a useful “Scholarships” and “Links” section for you to browse in the near future, as well as blog posts, media, and campus events!

Phi Theta Kappa team – Race for the Cure F09
Make plans now to join Phi Theta Kappa’s Race for the Cure team in 10/10!
The new recommendations for mammograms have stimulated many breast care conversations.
Who do you know whose breast cancer diagnosis occurred only because it was detected through a mammogram screening?
What was her age at the time of detection?
