Final Blog

There has been many things I have learned in this class ranging from the bases of computer programing to just the general history of computers. One thing that I really enjoyed learning about was the A.I. chapter. The thing about A.I. it could possibly be the future. The one subject in this class that I really didn’t like that well was project scratch. The thing with project scratch that I didn’t like to well was that the way a person can set things up and it seems logical to them does not work in the end. I am personally going to keep on perusing my field of computers. However, I hope I can still complete my dream of building my own video game; to create my own world seed. This is my goal and my dream. In the end, this class has helped me way more than I could believe and I am glad I took this class. The only thing about this class is that I wish we could have had more time on some of the subjects, but with the limited amount of time we had, I personally learned a great deal.

Alice vs Scratch

alice alice1 alice3 alice4

The program Alice, was a really great program. I enjoyed this program much more compared to scratch. I personally really liked the mechanics and the GUI system; because it was very user friendly. However it seemed like a person could only make videos instead of creating games. That’s the only thing I didn’t much care for; on the other hand it had amazing graphics for a free program.

However, scratch is a way better program to teach for more on the programing side. By learning Scratch before Alice it helps a person use Alice a lot easier. Yet Alice is more of a program that is based on helping design a scenario. In which both are amazing programs.

Last but not least, between the two programs I personally would have to choose Alice of my favorite of the two.

AI Week 12 Assignment

In the field of AI I would have to say this is the first time I have ever chatted with an AI and it turned me down. Out of curiosity with this AI; I asked it a serious of questions and it answered properly. For example, one question it asked me was what are you doing to night? With my reply as “I am going to have some fun.” It’s reply was “can I come and drink a beer with you.” Which made me laugh so hard. The other AI that were talking to each other was very interesting were in the end one AI believed in god and the other AI didn’t. Where since humanity created the AI to them we are there gods. While at the same time it shows me the same as what humans see about God. John McCarthy was the one who created the term AI and believed it was possible he was one of the leading scientist of the field. Another reference for an AI is johny5 from the movie short circuit. Johnny had a system called the S.A.I.N.T system (strategic artificial intelligent nuclear transport) in which he became alive when he became struck by lightning. There is there is also another movie called the terminator. Were it was a military defense system that become corrupted back at launch and the systems viruses told them to kill all humans. There are many, many more technology’s out there that we have yet to create and it’s only a matter of time. Let’s just hope it doesn’t end like IRobot or the terminator. The thing is that AI can be a great thing, However it can be a very bad thing at the same time.

week 9

In the phishing quizzes it amazed me on how I thought that I knew the how to tell what websites were correct and what websites were not. I did do all right on the test but it shows me how even myself can get compromised without me knowing. It was interesting to take the quizzes because there was some of the quizzes in would never personally

phis Capture.PNG11 have seen as a phishing website and some correct sites i thought were.

SQL

CaptureSQl data base was actually a lot easier then i expected, at

First it seemed really complicated but after you get the hang of this particular project it becomes a cinch.

However it also makes programming in SQL a lot easier also to were one can understand the concept easier.

scratch

Over all scratch to me was simple yet complicated. It was more in the logic side of programming itself. I mean yes, it was fun but there was certain aspects that I could not understand how to fix, all in all I’m just happy to get over with this project. In the end this project is a great way to start in program language but it was very complex.

experience in learning HTML

The interesting thing I learned about html it’s not much different than xml, or XHTML. It’s actually a very simple language to understand, but at the same time can be complex. Personally this project was much simpler just because I have taken web design in high school in the past in which made this project a little easier. I also realized that if you do not keep on practicing the knowledge you tend to lose it over time. However in the end I was able to pick right back up on the coding.

week 4

Overall the assemble language was complex but yet simple. At first looking at the program I was overwhelmed, however after further investigation the program made better since to me. the only problem I had was when it asked me to put a certain number in the read box I was not 100% sure what the read box might have been; yet the instructor showed me the information and clarified my problem. On the other hand I personally found out the assembly generator sometimes does not work properly with Google or internet explorer. The coding its self was interesting however I was not truly that fond of this particular subject myself.

week 3

In this week’s blog we are currently talking about the reason on why and how we would build a pc; on a personal scale I build a pc to go big or go home. The pc that I would build each and every single time for myself would range at price about $2300.00. The reason for this pc would be mint for playing video games or just about anything else I want it to be used as. This pc I would personally nickname it the god pc. Here is my current parts list. The whole point of this pc is to become a god (aka with virtual reality were I could make my own games). The thing about this pc this would have to be my dream pc, this pc is one I may even tuck into bed at night if I was able to afford to buy all these wonderful parts. One thing each and every one of us have to remember if you want to play, your gonging to pay.

    Week 2

Some people may ask why is binary so important? The thing that people do not realize is binary is the way of everyone’s life. I actually knew how to do binary from the past, however this was more of a refresher to bring back old knowledge I thought I might have lost. On the other hand one knew knowledge I gained slashed regained is how to turn a decimal back in to a binary number. However what I saw as interesting is thinking about the coding in the binary it could be a lot like a regular human brain. For with the idea of something so simple we as a society can build something so great. Also all great things come from an idea. It could be influenced by machinery from the past, all the way to a person creating an idea within their own thoughts. Another thing to think about is a philosopher/inventor from the past named Hero which he had a great roll in the creation of our modern day machines by creating one of the first steam machines from the past. This technology has been in this world for a long time and I personally think that his invention is what influenced our modern tech.
