Since arriving in Segovia I have had many great experiences, one of which includes, living with a host family. Living with a host family came as a culture shock to me. I soon learned that the world is much bigger than the one I had perceived. My host family has treated me as part of their own family and has been helpful by teaching me aspects of typical Spanish culture, including words, food and traditions. The family does not speak English which is a challenge that encouraged me to increase my Spanish skills immensely. I have been nothing short of impressed with how fast I have picked up on Spanish conversation while here in Spain.
