Students are not being advised well:

    1. Extroverts do not do well in online classes.

    2. Many students have registered for hybrid classes without having any clue what that means. They should be warned that there is an online component.

    3. Students who have previously failed classes should not repeat them online–they need to be warned that if they can’t succeed in the classroom, it will be much harder online.

Make certain at the time of advising and registration and students understand that they are to log in, that no one will contact them to start the course.

I have tried many different things. I even tried to give a pearl that would be on the exam everyday, but that still did not encourage the students to log in more often. Many of my students are UTK students and they do their UTK work first and then try to do our course work. Many are over worked. They take 18 hours at UTK and then a course at PSTCC.
