UNconference?

Some photos from the first ever Pellissippi State Unconference are on the ETS Facebook page.

As part of the 2010 Conference on Student Success at Pellissippi State, Friday, August 20 was designated as an UNconference day. A day of “un-service”, if you will.

It went so well, we are doing it again for 2011. Here’s the schedule on Sched*

What is an UNConference, you ask? We did, too!

An UNconference is a facilitated, participant-driven conference centered around a theme or purpose. The term “UNconference” has been applied, or self-applied, to a wide range of gatherings that try to avoid one or more aspects of a conventional conference, such as high fees and sponsored presentations. (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unconference)
