What is vClass?

Elluminate’s vClass is a java based virtual classroom. You must schedule a session through Educational Technology Services. Students can enter the session during the time scheduled and you can also record the session for future viewing.

Watch the vClass Demo

For Web Wednesday in February we recorded the live demo:

You can watch it here.

Visit Elluminate’s Support area for a test configuration room and more information.
****TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS and SUPPORT INFO*****
When you log in, you may be prompted to download Sun Microsystem’s Java Web Start (or OpenJNLP for Mac), a pre-requisite to vClass. You only need to do
this the first time you use vClass.

The minimum PC requirements are a Pentium II 266 Mhz with 64MB of memory and a sound card.

The minimum Mac requirements are a g3 233 Mhz with 64MB of memory when using OS 9.0 – 9.2 or 128MB of memory when using OS X.
To get maximum benefit from vClass, all users should have a microphone and speakers.
I would suggest going through the downloads about 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.
